Join us for the fifth annual Plein Air Art Auction on Saturday, September 17! This is a fundraising event for the Belleville Historical Society in which twelve regional artists are commissioned to create paintings of twelve historic sites in Belleville.
The artists will paint en plein air (outdoors) from 8am until noon, and the paintings will then be brought to the Garfield Street Historic Saloon. There the paintings will be on view until 1pm, when they will be auctioned to the public. The paintings are very generously donated to the BHS for this event.
This is your opportunity to purchase an original work by an established artist depicting a setting significant to Belleville, while also providing the Belleville Historical Society much-needed support.
Even if you don’t buy a painting, we hope you will come out to see these beautiful works and join the fun!
