2026 Calendar: Seeing Belleville Through Stained Glass
Taking a stroll through historic neighborhoods in Belleville reveals a colorful history with stained glass windows. Not only do beautiful stained glass windows appear in many churches around the city, but also in many homes and businesses, as well. This calendar celebrates the beauty of stunning stained glass throughout Belleville and the history of the structures they call home.

Our 2016 theme was so popular that we brought it back for another round! Saloons dotted the Belleville landscape in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The 2017 calendar features vintage photographs and brief histories of twelve more Historic Belleville Saloons.

We went back to our roots … The Belleville Historical Society’s 2016 calendar features vintage photographs and brief histories of a once common institution in Belleville.

The 2015 calendar featured photos and capsule histories of 13 of Belleville’s historic churches: St Peter Cathedral, St Paul United Church of Christ, St. Henry Catholic Church, Christ United Church of Christ, First Baptist Church, Zion Lutheran, Jackson Street Methodist, United Methodist Church, St. Luke Catholic Church, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, St. Teresa Catholic Church, First Presbyterian and St. George Episcopal.

For Belleville’s bicentennial year, each month showcased a significant “first” in Belleville’s heritage and history, including the first railroad, the first skyscraper, and the first mayor. This photo shows a scene from Belleville’s first street fair.
