The Belleville Historical Society plans to convert the historic Garfield Building into a museum of Belleville brewing and saloon history.
The Historical Society benefit auction will raise funds to renovate the Garfield Building. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Belleville Historical Society is holding an auction on Saturday, May 21 to help fund the Society’s purchase and restoration of the Garfield Building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Garfield Building will provide the Historical Society with administrative space and also house a museum highlighting Belleville’s brewing history, particularly as related to the Stag Brewery, Peerless Brewery and Belleville’s historic neighborhood saloons. The Society is also soliciting donations of antiques and other worthy items for this event.
